Nutrish wet dog food (sold in 8-tub packs) are a recent addition at Amazon.com. Some flavors are available with Prime Shipping, but Chicken Muttballs are not and the price is higher than expected. No idea why, since it may be the best of the lot in terms of appearance and taste. Several of our local stores stock Nutrish, but the number of available flavors varies. Chicken Paw Pie and Hearty Beef Stew are easy to find, but Beef Stroganwoof and Savory Lamb don’t seem to be regularly stocked at some stores.
Ingredients include: Chicken Broth, Chicken, Dried Whole Egg, Pea Protein, Ground Tapioca, Carrots, Pasta, Guar Gum, Tricalcium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride, Spinach, Salt, and the usual supplements. This dog food offers good nutrition, but is slightly more expensive than some of the other wet dog food sold in tubs. We will continue to buy Nutrish wet food as long as it remains available, along with other wet foods. Check the labels. Foods that have no by-products, fillers, gluten, corn, wheat, or soy are preferable. At least some varieties of Iam’s Woof, also sold in 8-ounce tubs, meet those standards.
While unusual, local prices may beat online for this food. Check before you buy. Offers with Prime Shipping may offer additional value, especially if your dog prefers one or two flavors that are hard to find.
